August 4th, Hartford, Connecticut. The Pakistani American Public Affairs Committee (PAKPAC) Pakistani American Association
 of Connecticut (PAACT), the Connecticut Chapter of Association of Pakistani Physicians of North America (CAPP), jointly call
 all Pakistani Americans, people of Pakistani heritage residing in Connecticut, Muslims residing in Connecticut and all other Connecticut 
residents to join them to organize a rally against the ideology of hatred and terrorism.  The combined rally will be held on Friday, 
August 5th, 2005 at the Hartford State Capitol Building (north entrance) at 230 PM.
 
Syed Raza, President of PAACT stated that the perpetrators of hate and terrorists do not belong to any religion or nation, as no religion 
allows hate for others. Atiq Mirza, the President of the APPNA chapter of Connecticut, called upon the governments and the people in 
the Muslim world to take full responsibility within their own countries to root out terrorism and extremist ideologies. Saud Anwar currently
 serving as the Secretary of the nationwide organization of Pakistani Americans PAKPAC, and President of the CT. chapter of PAKPAC, 
called on people of Pakistani heritage to stand united against the menace of terrorism, and must become partners in creating environments 
which would not allow people with hate, anger inside of them to flourish and perpetuate their sick ideologies. 
 
Established in February, 2000 PAACT is a state wide social cultural voluntary mass organization with members of Pakistani heritage 
throughout the state of Connecticut. This organization has been involved in helping setup schools and improving curriculum in schools
 in Pakistan, as well as helping the education of girls and improving computer literacy in remote parts of Pakistan. The PAACT members 
were active in providing support in the immediate aftermath of 9-11 and the services of a member were officially acknowledged by the 
American Red Cross. PAKPAC, established in 1989, is a nationwide, membership based, non-profit advocacy organization. Its mission
 includes advancement and strengthening of U.S.-Pakistan relations. It is organized to be a unified voice on issues and concerns common
 to the Pakistani American community. PAKPAC’s focus includes an active environment to foster greater political and civic engagement
 amongst the Pakistani Americans. CAPP is the chapter of APPNA, an organization set up in 1977 which is one of the largest organizations
 of Physicians of Pakistani heritage representing over 15000 physicians across United States.
